What is Forest Bathing?
The practice of Forest Bathing began in Japan in the 1980’s as a result of increased incidence in stress related diseases attributed to the ‘Tech Boom’. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of benefits including: mood stabilization, anxiety reduction, and cardiovascular and immune support. On a forest therapy walk, we are often reminded that we are a part of nature, not separate from it and we are related to all other beings in profound ways. It is in this way that we join the forest in the orchestration of our own healing. Our forest therapy walks combine current research with ancient practices in the field of nature connection, mindfulness, and holistic wellness.
